AluK GB is a leading aluminium systems house with over 25 years’ experience in designing innovative, energy-efficient windows, doors and curtain wall products. From our 350,000 sq ft facility in the UK, we provide tailored facade systems for any commercial, residential or industrial application.
Our windows, doors and curtain walling products are designed, produced and tested inhouse, while our project consultant team are in the field to guide the whole specification process.
We are dedicated to ongoing research and innovation. With research and design teams around the world, we combine our expertise in performance building systems with local knowledge to develop market-leading products suited to every type of construction project.
We’re proud of the fact that we are the only aluminium systems house in the UK to have everything ‘in house’ – from training and CAD support to technical support and testing.
We have large scale UKAS accredited test rigs. These enable us to test our products in-house to make sure they meet all the UK’s most stringent performance requirements when they’re installed by our customers.
In-house testing doesn’t just help when we’re developing new products to make sure they meet required performance targets either, it also helps if we’re required to show that an existing product will meet a different specification. We can actually work live on the test rig if we need to and implement bespoke solutions for particular projects.
Our training workshops offer practical and theory elements, designed to give you a rounded view of our products and the wider industry, whether you are an installer, fabricator, designer, or anyone else in the industry interested in finding out more about our systems.
Our Paint Line
One of the key benefits of using AluK windows, doors and curtain walling is that they are virtually corrosion and maintenance free. That’s because the surface of the aluminium we use is pre-treated and then powder coated by us to ensure maximum durability, even in coastal and highly polluted environments.
The large-scale vertical paint line at our Chepstow production facility has two separate spray booths which together give us a capacity of almost 700m2 of painted profile per hour.
Sustainability of aluminium in the building industry
The core material used in all AluK systems is aluminium. It can be anodised and painted in any colour, including dual colour, inside and out. With up to 90% coming from recycled sources without any deterioration in quality, aluminium is one of the most sustainable construction materials available!
