Following last night’s government announcements, we would like to reassure all our customers that AluK remains open and working safely in line with all the Covid-19 secure protocols.
We have been operating successfully within Wales’ Level 4 lockdown since December, but we are now introducing a number of additional measures which reflect our commitment to reducing the spread of the new variant of the virus as much as we possibly can.
From today, all third-party visits to our Chepstow site will cease until further notice and our London and Chepstow Design Studios will be open for appointments only. Engineer and training visits will primarily be virtual, but we will make every effort to make in-person visits if there is an urgent and critical requirement. However, our operations and warehouse teams are still all onsite, and all our sales and support teams are continuing to work remotely as they have done since March.
The manufacturing and construction industries have been given the green light to continue work, so we will be doing all we can to support our customers in their efforts to keep up with demand. All our usual comms channels are open and business will be as close to normal as we can make it, without of course compromising the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers or partners.
