ALUK’S S67 SLIDING DOOR SCOOPS NEW PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD
ALUK’s hugely popular S67 sliding door has just been named New Product of the Year at the G-25 Awards.
The fully glazed aluminium slider has already proved a winner with customers, and it has been one of AluK’s most successful new product launches ever.
That’s partly down to the fact that the S67 can be fabricated by one person from start to finish in just one and a half hours, and installed by a two man team in just 15 minutes. But it’s also because the new door has the wow factor which makes it an easy sell for AluK customers.
For fabricators, the S67 is easy to integrate into any factory with only minimal investment because it features straight cut sashes assembled around the glass without the need for bonding or silicone lubricant and no requirement to cut glazing beads.
For installers, there is no glazing on site and a 67mm frame depth which makes it quick and easy to install in replacements without having to cut back plaster lines.
And for retail buyers and developers it has a 107mm frame and 35mm interlock giving it the more glass/less frame look essential for modern sliding doors, as well as maximum
panel sizes of 2700mm high x 3000mm wide for real wow factor.
Paul Booth, AluK’s Technical Director who led the design of the S67, said of the Award: “The S67 is proving both a technical and commercial success, and it was great to see that recognised by the judges. The new Product of the Year category is always hotly contested because the industry continues to deliver real innovation year after year, so this is a tremendous achievement by the AluK team – all the way from design to manufacturing, sales and marketing and customer service.”
The team were presented with the Award by comedian Troy Hawke at a ceremony held at London’s Hilton Park Lane.
