The majority of AluK’s operations remain closed in line with the government’s lockdown restrictions to try to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
However, with effect from 27th April, we will be partially reopening our production and warehouse operations to support the small number of customers who are working to fulfil ongoing contracts on commercial sites, in line with guidance from the Government.
We have a skeleton team who have volunteered to come back into the business to run key areas of production, warehouse and despatch and we have implemented a strict new safety regime across our entire site to ensure that they are fully protected. This includes full compliance with all the social distancing guidelines, mandatory PPE and adherence with a new AluK COVID-19 safe working practice policy.
We are continuing to work alongside the rest of the industry to try to establish a coordinated return to work across the trade and retail sectors as soon as the current lockdown restrictions are lifted.
