AluK’s 58BW windows, SL52 curtain walling and GT55 entrance system are being installed in the new £30m Welbeck private health centre scheduled to open soon in north Oxford.
Fabricated by Arkay Windows and installed by their specialist commercial arm Arkay Contractors, the frames form a key element in a stunning transformation of this 35,000 sq ft office building into a state of the art healthcare environment.
Marek Mojciechowski Architects were responsible for the design, which has echoes of Welbeck’s London headquarters, as the group looks to establish a strong and consistent visual identity for its UK sites.
They used AluK’s SL52 and GT55 system for the dual height entrance area to maximise the natural light coming into the building and specified our high performance 58BW HI window system to help improve the thermal performance of the building and reduce running costs.
AluK already has a strong track record in supplying the public healthcare sector and, in partnership with fabricators like Arkay, we are now building a similar reputation in the private sector.
