AluK is celebrating two nominations at this year’s G-Awards – Commercial Project of the Year for the stunning installation of AluK windows, sliding doors and curtain walling at ‘Escapade Silverstone’ carried out by Arkay Windows and Industry Rising Star for Continuous Improvement Lead Tony Leach.

‘Escapade Silverstone’ is a true landmark residential project - a £53m development of 60 luxury, contemporary two-storey villas positioned right on the edge of the iconic British racing circuit in Northamptonshire.
Architecturally inspired by the notion of ‘slipstreaming’ with the first floor of the villas almost appearing to travel in the slipstream of the ground floor, the Escapade Development overlooks Silverstone’s Copse, Maggots and Becketts corners and, with villas available as investments or to hire, is a motoring enthusiast’s dream.

Tony Leach has been described as a ‘game changer’ at AluK and has already enjoyed a remarkable career trajectory. He joined the business in 2019 as a spray booth operator and is now leading large parts of AluK’s multi-million pound SAP transition, having, along the way, rewritten the entire training programme for the 100+ workers on the shop floor, and helped to deliver 50% improvements in AluK’s Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
When it comes to Awards, this has been a very successful few weeks for AluK, with the company’s 58W Flush HI window also shortlisted in the ‘Best Window’ category at the upcoming 2024 Build It Awards.
