Not one, not two, but three nominations for Tradeglaze in the prestigious GGP Installer of the Year awards for projects using AluK windows and doors.
The strength and versatility of both Tradeglaze and the AluK systems are evident by the fact that they have been shortlisted for projects in the Best Residential, Best Heritage and Best Commercial categories.
In the Best Residential category, the nomination is for a stunning one-of-a-kind detached property in a Lincolnshire village conservation area, where Tradeglaze’s retail arm Jackson Windows replaced draughty leaded-light timber windows with
low maintenance, energy-efficient slimline frames in AluK’s 58BW HI Flush window system, all finished in a contemporary RAL9010M ivory colour.
The same 58BW HI Flush windows and a 58BD French door also feature in Tradeglaze’s nomination in the Best Heritage category, which is a historic barn conversion where the aluminium frames were finished in RAL7032 Pebble Grey to tone perfectly with the barn’s aged external timbers.
On both of these projects, Tradeglaze’s highly experienced team helped the homeowners to achieve all the necessary conservation area approvals, highlighting how successfully the 46mm sightlines, flush sashes and sharp shadow line of the AluK 58BW HI windows replicate the style and detailing of timber.
By contrast, the nomination in the Best Commercial category is for an entire new build development which features AluK’s 58BW HI windows and BSF70 bifolds in a number of new, executive type properties, built in a range of different styles and materials.

The winners of the GGP Installer Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Midland Hotel Manchester on 13 March, hosted by Team GB swimming legend Mark Foster.
