AluK has boosted its commercial projects department with the appointment of façade specialist Jon Sheaf as a project consultant.
Having spent more than six years with the aluminium systems company in a similar role between 2016 to 2022, Jon is largely picking up where he left off. His role is to support architects and specifiers with design advice on glazed facades and to facilitate greater collaboration across the supply chain.
Jon explained: “My aim is always to add value to the projects I’m involved in – everything from providing pre-bid advice to help architects achieve the optimum efficiency in their design and advising on technical and performance specifications, to strengthening links between AluK fabricators and main contractors.
“I’ll also be making the most of the facilities at AluK’s impressive London Design Studio where specifiers can see all our products on show, and we can host design team meetings.”
He added: “AluK’s product range, with a choice of stick and unitised curtain walling, 58 and 70mm window systems and both sliding and bifold door options, is ideally suited to the project market, and we work with an impressive network of highly experienced commercial fabricators right across the UK.
“I’m delighted to be working with the team again and looking forward to meeting up with old and new connections right across the supply chain.”
