Proving beyond doubt that aluminium windows and doors are a great option for old as well as new properties, AluK 58BW, 58BD and BSF70 systems were used to give this large, traditional stone cottage a sleek new look, which is still very much in keeping with its original character.
Proving beyond doubt that aluminium windows and doors are a great option for old as well as new properties, AluK 58BW, 58BD and BSF70 systems were used to give this large, traditional stone cottage a sleek new look, which is still very much in keeping with its original character.
The installation, by MB Aluminium in Bristol features a mix of open out casement windows and a stunning gable topped fixed light, patio doors, a fully glazed entrance door and a set of bifolds in BSF70, all in a green/grey finish from AluK’s Elements matt colour range.
The owners of the property have achieved exactly what they wanted – a high performance, low maintenance replacement for the timber frames which were there previously, with slim sightlines and a subtle grey finish which looks sympathetic to the age and style of the cottage.
They said: “We’re very happy with the end result – the colour of the frames blends particularly with the stonework of the cottage, and an added bonus is that we’ll never have to worry about painting them again!”
MB Aluminium recommended the AluK windows and doors to the owners and they got to see the colours and quality for themselves in the company’s Bristol showroom before they placed their order.
