Glamorous new Twilight Bar featuring AluK'S BSF70 bi-folding door system in a truly innovative way.
Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire has just opened its glamorous new Twilight Bar, which showcases AluK’s BSF70 bi-folding door system in a truly innovative way.
Installers Fearns of Carlton used our system to create open-out bi-folding windows for the new 1920s themed cocktail bar and lounge at the destination spa. These can be opened up completely on two sides to let spa guests enjoy uninterrupted views of the adjoining, tranquil garden.
The slim profiles and elegant lines of the windows complement the Instagrammable interior of the Twilight Bar, with its luxurious, art deco styling, featuring lots of scalloped prints and shapes, velvet seating, fringed lampshades and brass fittings. The exterior of the bar, clad in oxidised copper, is just as striking, and the green finish of the copper contrasts beautifully with the Anthracite grey of the windows.
Fearns of Carlton worked closely with the design and build contractors Concorde BGW Group on the project, advising on how to use our BSF70 system most effectively to achieve the inside/outside look that they wanted and to add to the architectural character of the space.
Jak Fearn from Fearns of Carlton explained: “We recommended the AluK BSF70 system because it met the full criteria Concorde were looking for – simplistic operation, clean lines, bold colour and a quality finish.
Concorde BGW Group have been rewarded for their outstanding design work and attention to detail with a nomination in the Bar/Club/Lounge category in the 2021 International Hotel and Property Awards.
Ragdale Hall Spa’s HR and Commercial Director Allison Garner added : “In designing the space, attention to detail was key – from the texture of the fabrics to the decadent colour palette and quality fixtures and fittings, including the concertina style windows which will allow our guests to really make the most of warm, summer evenings.”
The installation shows the versatility of the AluK BSF70 system, which can be used for either open-in our open-out windows or doors with individual panels up to 1200mm wide x 2400mm high. Our innovative flush line pop-out handle allows panels to stack flush when they are fully open, adding to the sense of openness that can be achieved.
