AluK and Climatec Group have been celebrating the success of their long term partnership. AluK presented an Approved Fabricator award to Climatec’s aluminium arm Alu-tec, in recognition of its consistent quality and ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence.
Paul Greenaway, AluK’s Head of Trade and Residential Sales, commented: “Alu-tec is one our most trusted and valued partners, so it was an absolute pleasure to make the presentation and say thank you for so many years of loyal custom.”
Phil Bates, Director and co-founder of the Climatec Group, said: “We’ve been with AluK since Alu-tec was founded in 2012, and we’ve never felt the need to dual source. The breadth of the product range has always helped us to win and retain business right across trade, retail and commercial markets, and we know we can always rely on the quality, service and value from AluK.
“Over the years, we’ve collaborated with them on everything from product development to the FIT Show and they continue to give us all the technical advice, marketing insight and commercial support we need.
“We’re a large and well-resourced business in our own right so we don’t necessarily need to rely on AluK’s support services day to day, but working with them definitely enhances our offering. For instance, if we ever have any technical issues, they will always come to the table with a solution and if they’re launching a new product, our marketing team will have the inside track so we can make sure our activity coincides and is aligned with theirs.
“It’s definitively evolved into a partnership rather than a supplier/customer relationship and, on product development in particular, we really appreciate the work they do to help us stay ahead of the pack.”
Alu-tec’s reputation has been built on ‘right first time’ quality and a real commitment to innovation. Phil says the company is reluctant to turn down any challenge and its technical team will work out a way to fabricate virtually any bespoke product a customer asks for: “If we can make a product efficiently and at a decent price point, then we will.”
Phil adds: “We’re always looking to differentiate ourselves with new product options and as a result we’re quick to take on new products from AluK – in recent years for instance, we’ve added the S67 slider, the Heritage door and now the IconiK bifold to our range and they are all on show in our Southend showroom.
“The market might be challenging, but there’s still plenty of business out there to be had and we like the fact that AluK supports us with products which consistently generate enquiries and help us support our loyal customers.”

Alu-tec is part of the Climatec Group which fabricators around 1500 frames per week in a mix of PVC-U and aluminium and employs more than 200 people across its manufacturing and installation operations.
It supplies trade and commercial customers across Essex, London, East Anglia and the South East and has a dedicated retail supply and fit division.
